Basil, presbyter of the Church in Ankara lived during the time of Julian the apostate and Satorninus governor of Ankara in 362. Basil was accused and was brought to the governor who questioned him whether he denied Christ. When Julian passed through Ankara, the saint was brought to him shackled. He was questioned by Julian but did not deny Christ. So, Julian delivered him to count Flaventius who executed him.
