Worship our God in the beauty of holiness;
bow down in wonder and God's love proclaim!
With gold of willingness, incense of prayerfulness,
kneel and adore God, O blessed be God's name.

Fear not to enter God's courts in the slenderness
of the poor wealth you would reckon as yours:
Truth in its beauty, and love in its tenderness,
these are the off'rings to lay on God's shrine.

These, though we bring them in trembling and fearfulness,
God will accept for the name that they bear;
mornings of joy give for evenings of tearfulness;
trust for our trembling and hope for our fear.
