Before the ending of the day,
Creator of the world, we pray
That you with wonted love would keep
Your watch around us while we sleep.

O let no evil dreams be near,
Nor phantoms of the night appear;
Let all our cares and worries cease,
O, hold us in your care and peace.

Our good Creator, hear our cry
Through Jesus who is Christ, we sigh,
Who with the Spirit, one in three,
You live and reign eternally.
