from what the Scriptures say.

When Judas had left and died,
the Apostles were quite sure
that one should take the vacant place
to make them Twelve once more.

Matthias said "yes" when asked to serve;
he did not hesitate.
Christ, since you call on us, too, we are glad
to walk your Way true and straight.
